Rules & Regulations for Pustaka Visitors
General Rules Statements
- Users must wear proper and decent attire.
- Handphones must be put in a silent mode.
- Smoking is not permitted within Pustaka’s premises.
- Consumption of food and beverages is not permitted inside the library.
- Silence must be observed considerably.
- Users shall bring considerable items e.g laptop bags; electronic reference aids, jackets into the library however their other personal belongings shall be kept at the baggage counter and baggage tags shall be issued.
- Any missing baggage tag shall be liable for RM5 fine.
Unclaimed baggage
Pustaka will dispose any unclaimed baggage at the baggage counter within 2 working days of the library.
Circulation of Library Materials
- Members are allowed to borrow 6 library items for a two-week period.
- Members are allowed to renew their borrowed materials if no reservations of such library materials have been made.
- Renewal of library materials can be made through phone, in person or “online personal page account” or e-mail. This is allowable if the library materials are not over-due.
- All over-due materials must be returned to Pustaka and overdue fines must be cleared should users need to re-borrow the materials.
- Members shall bear full responsibilities of their borrowed items.
- Members are responsible for paying the replacement value of the borrowed item as a result of lost or damages. These are:
- The price of the item
- Processing fee of RM20
- Outstanding overdue fines, if any.
