Digitised collections can reach the world's largest and most diverse audience. The World Wide Web (WWW) audience includes scholars, students, the general public, donors, collection creators, publishers and discipline specialists.

Having the digitised collection on the WWW and with the publication of the Borneo Bibliography, access to the original collection and knowledge of their location will be made possible.

ACCESSIBILITY OF BORNEO MATERIALS

DIGITISATION OF SELECTED BORNEO MATERIALS

Materials treated in paper include prints and drawings as well as other works of art on paper but not limited to archival materials, photographs, maps, architectural drawings and parchments. Good selection policies ensure that resources are invested wisely in digitizing the most significant and useful collections at the lowest cost.

Digitisation of selected Borneo material will commence at the beginning of 2004.

Selected materials will be made available online.
