Summary
This book is an eye opener to me as it defines what personal brilliance meant and how it affects our life. To the author, personal brilliance is about 4 catalysts – awareness, curiosity, focus and initiative. To me, he is able to spark these 4 catalysts into the minds of readers by his thoughtful experience and empathetic understanding of day to day life engagements. I get inspired by the author’s emphasis as he said “this book is not designed to fix you. You’re not broken but we can all go deeper in improving the habits that lead to personal brilliance.” To me, this inspires readers to be thoughtful that in life, there are many rooms of improvements, and importantly, making personal brilliance the rule, rather than the exception. What I appreciate most about this book, though it is a quite thick book with 207 pages with no pictures and illustrations but the writing is full of knowledge, real experience and skills of the author and his clients in turning their daily habits into a lifetime success. There are also many exercises that readers can choose from. To me, by trying to follow the exercises suggested such as “awareness exercises”, “heighten senses” etc, probably readers who have ever tried them would find the real message of what the author has greatly emphasized on. To me, I believe readers will certainly derive significant benefits from reading this book as I do. It is even better, if readers can follow the exercises suggested. To me, this book is recommendable to everyone.
