Summary
This book can be obtained from teen’s collection. It is a simple 48 pages book but full of significant facts, statistics, real accounts and information pertaining to the family break-ups in Australia, United Kingdom and United States between 1996 to 2006. It has 8 chapters, glossary, indexes and pictures which illustrated the topics discussed. To me, the chapters discussed in the book manage to bring readers to explore difficult emotions of young people or teens encounter when their parents decide to separate and at the same time, bring the real accounts of how the teens and families manage to fix the issues up, which in most cases, will not too hurting to the teens to accept. This book is recommended to all. The language used is easy to understand and beautifully written to put all matters discussed into a professional perspectives without putting any blame either to teens as children or parents. The book also provides “further information” in page 47 for readers to refer to relevant websites and helplines in Australia and UK in this respective issue of family break-ups.
