SARAWAK STATE LIBRARY TO HOST `I LOVE HISTORY` PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS JUNE 15

Kuching - In conjunction with `A Week with Archives` programme and International Archives Day 2017, Sarawak State Library will be organizing
`I Love History` programme on June 15, 2 pm at the library`s Special Collection Room.

`I Love History` is a programme that provides opportunities for primary school students ( Primary 4 and 5 ) to learn about Sarawak`s history.

It is a collaboration programme with Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Tun Abdul Razak (IPGKTAR) and aimed at giving overview of information and materials available in the Sarawak State Library which can help students to know and understand the history of Sarawak.

Meanwhile on June 16, there will be `Old Newspaper : The Hidden History` programme held 2 pm at the State Records Repository.

This programme aims to increase volunteerism activities which can assist to provide access to information about Sarawak through Chinese newspaper descriptions.

The target participants for this programme are members of the Chinese community who are fluent and able to read in Mandarin.
