Kumang II

‘Kumang II’ epitomizes the great beauty of an Iban goddess, personifying elegance and exquisiteness. Kumang is wearing the traditional Iban ngepan of the Betong, Paku, and Krian districts, which are located along the Saribas River. The Saribas ngepan is special and unique as it adorns the rawai tinggi, a bodice crafted of rattan coils, fitted with tiny brass rings that wrap around the chest. Kumang also wears the ngepan with a skirt made from pua kumbu (a traditional Iban handwoven textile), sugu tinggi pirak (silver headgear), and tumpa (bangles).
