Answer: Leigh syndrome can also affect eye nerves, leading to problems like:

1. Crossed eyes (strabismus).
2. Deterioration of the optic nerves (optic atrophy).
3. Eye weakness or paralysis.
4. Involuntary rapid eye movements (nystagmus).
5. Vision loss.

Teens or adults with late-onset Leigh syndrome may experience color blindness and loss of central vision (low vision).
