Question: If my school would like to start with our own online e-book resources, is there any way to obtain legal free e-books?

Answer: To create a physical books collection whether in your home or in you school is actually very possible and very easy. Borrowing a book from local libraries or public libraries is FREE.

Pustaka Negeri Sarawak offer Bulk Loan Services. Bulk loans of library materials are available from the Pustaka Negeri Sarawak upon request and are offered to government departments, institutions, organizations, associations, and schools of all types.

As for e-books collection, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, National Library of Malaysia and other state libraries do have online e-book collection that can be borrow by registered member. The membership fee is free for Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and National Library of Malaysia. School can register as a member under Bulk Loan services or the students and teachers also can register by their own as a library member to have an access to e-books collection from Pustaka Negeri Sarawak as long as they have the internet connection.

For further assistance, school can contact or have a collaboration initiative with Pustaka Negeri Sarawak since Pustaka have a project called Pustaka@School which offer a digital interface for school to have an access to Pustaka online resources.
