The Golden Age

'The Golden Age' was inspired by the trip to China. The theme of this painting is the tortuous plum blossom tree with blooming flowers on yellow background, a large Sarawak Raja Brooke butterfly appears on the upper right corner. The main trunk of the plum tree represents the geographical shape of the Yangtzw River, the longest river in China. On both sides of the Yangtze River, plum blossoms are full bloom, representing the result of China's 40 years of reform and opening up. Yellow, the color of the ancient Chinese royal family, represents the brilliant 40 years achievement. Blooming plums also attract the large Raja Brooke Bird Wind butterfly from the distance. Co-existence of flowers and butterflies showing an established friendly relationship.
