Summary
Intelligence is defined as the ability to get information and/or a collection of information. This book leans toward intelligence professionals and their relation to critical thinking. Intelligence itself comes in different values whether it’d be political, military, or educational. Understanding the client’s need of information through queries, contextual analysis and collaborative efforts can factor into the critical thinking process. Multiple models and types of information can assist the analyst in making strategic decisions while verifying their sources through the Internet. Critical thinkers need to constantly argues to solidify their cases and to search for alternative hypotheses to deal with politicization of the intelligence. Discussions on effective and persuasive arguments were made with qualitative and quantitative data, graphical analysis, and implications of active listening. The book ends with exemplary case studies employing strategic intelligence and its’ effect on critical thinking.
