Summary
WELL BEING is Danielle debut book, is a collection of over 250 recipes and rituals designed to realign the body and mind. All recipes are designed using only natural ingredients and follow a naturopathic, flexitarian approach to eating well, with no strict rules or labels but instead, just simple, accessible and enjoyable suggestions for help you to discover an individualised way of living as well as you can. The rituals are inspired by ancient traditions, such as Ayurveda, Yoga and meditation, but have been simplified to help effortlessly handle common side effects of modern life, such as stress, depression and digestive issues. Overall, this is a pretty interesting book - more than just another “seen it all before” cookbook - it’s designed to feed you in more ways than one. I do think the book will appeal most to those who take a more holistic approach to life already or are looking for a way into it - for example, someone who enjoys creative journalling, meditation or self-help books, who is also looking for ways to eat more healthy foods and learn about some of the benefits, might really enjoy this book. If you just want a vegan / vegetarian / healthy eating recipe book without any other extra dialogue (or “distractions”) you might want to choose something else. You can take a lot from this book and incorporate the principles into your everyday so I would say it`s a satisfying read and worthy kitchen companion - for the right person.
