Pustaka Negeri Sarawak is collaborating with the Department
of Social Welfare (Sarawak) in organizing a Forum on Enhancing the Quality of
Life of the Special Needs and Family.
The forum aims to raise community awareness on the
importance of their role and participation in helping those with special needs
and developing the welfare and special education in the state.
During the forum, there will be a knowledge sharing session
by Abdul Hamid Adenan from the Sarawak Education Department, representatives
from Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi Kuching, the Community Rehabilitation
Centre (PDK), Heart Treasures Sdn. Bhd and Special Needs Schools.
A sales exhibition by the Persatuan Bagi Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal Sarawak (
PERKATA ), Community Based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK) and Special Needs
Schools will also be held during that day.
