Public are invited to view this special collection exhibition on Japanese Occupation in Borneo During World War II.
This exhibition highlight on how the people of Borneo survived
with daily life and responded with grit and resourcefulness to the Japanese
Occupation, a period of great adversity and abject scarcity. It celebrates
their resilience, tenacity, resourcefulness and self-reliance; values that
remain important and relevant today. Glimpses of these past lives are presented
in writings, memoirs, records, and photos of the uncertain and shattered world
these survivors of the war endured.
The exhibition is open to public daily from 11 am - 7 pm at the Special Collection Room, Level 1, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and closed on Public Holidays.
