Ringkasan: This is a fabulously fun book of earth-friendly tech crafts that can be made at school or at home. Kids in this age group are always excited to find new crafts. This book is rather unique in that it uses old electronic / tech pieces in each creation. There’s probably not going to be any lack of materials available to students. There and several small sidebars interspersed throughout the book entitled “Swap It!” and “STEM Takeaway.” The first one offers up suggestions for alternative “ingredients” for crafts. The STEM Takeaway is perfect for those wishing to introduce STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) topics. For example, one states that “Insulation protects the wires inside electrical cords. Rubber is a common insulator.” I definitely love this novel approach to crafts, crafts which can be used to explore the world of technology and introduce STEM topics. In the back of the book is an index, a glossary, an Odds & Ends section (suggestions for materials), and additional recommended book and website resources to explore.
