Ringkasan: The Lucky Day Picnic authored by Barbara Bakowski and illustrated by Steve Cox. The story begin when Ricky Raccon invited his friends to a picnic on the first day of summer. Everyone was so excited to come. Ricky ask his friends to bring their favourite snack. Sam Squirrel gathered walnuts, Beryl Bear catched fresh fishes, Reggie Rabbit bring lettuce and carrots, Robin Redbreast picked apples, grapes, blueberries and a lot of cherries. As they packed picnic baskets, each of the them thought the others would bring the same snacks he liked best. But his friends were surprised because each guest had brought something different to eat. Then, Ricky shouted and said “a rainbow of snacks, it’s our lucky day”. Everyone were happy because it is healthy foods where they get energy to play. From my opinion, the story was very short and nice. It is easy to understand because the sentences simple and more picture. The illustrations colourful and catchy to attract the young readers to read this book.
