Ringkasan

For three years and eight months Sarawak was a part of the extensive Japanese Imperial Empire. The Japanese campaign of an `Asia for Asians` and the attempted realization of `The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere` were both played out on the Sarawak stage. The Gunseibu implemented policies, formulated by Tokyo planners, which encompassed political, military, economic and socio-cultural fields. As pointed out, the Japanese achieved an unqualified success in the revitalization of the oil fields and oil production.
