Summary
This coffee table book is beautifully written and the pictures are beautifully photographed which attracts me to read and explore. This book has 256 pages, showcased the British and Irish modern new and old houses that made new as what the title implied. The book does not primarily talk on the design of the houses but attracts readers to see the beautiful furniture and finishing of homes. What I like most about this book is the idea of the edittor to grasp the attention of readers into a perspective that every house is a home for anyone; regardless they are the new and renovated houses, retrofitted modern inner-city terraces, cottages and even converted barns nestled in misty rural valleys. Another interesting point is that the significant information of every home is described such as in terms of project specifications – location, the size of the area, when was the project completed as well as who was the photographer who took the house pictures. The interior design of the homes is another fascinating point which I find this book is beautiful. The same goes to the tips for natural surrounding for building a home. To me, this book is a must-read book for those who inspire to dream a beautiful home in his or her own way, taking the inspiration from what is written in this book.
