Summary
Long ago, people in Hawaii, performed a special dance called the `hula.` Then, for more than 60 years, the dance was not allowed. Finally, after many years, a new king returned the hula to the people. Why was the hula not allowed? What is special about the hula? Hula is one of the oldest dance which started at Hawaii more than three hundred years ago. However not everyone has always liked the hula. In 1820, very religious people from Western countries come to Hawaii and they were surprised by the hula because the dancers were not wearing many clothes. After that, Hawaiians were not allowed to perform the hula in public for almost sixty years but today the ancient hula definitely not in secret but it is part of everyday life.
