UPCOMING ACTIVITIES AT PUSTAKA NEGERI IN AUGUST

Among them will be a forum
on Marketing Local Products on 5 August 2009 at 9-11am in the Auditorium. The panelists during this forum include Puan
Ursla Thomas Sallang, the Regional Manager of Sarawak SMIDEC Sdn Bhd, Encik Abg
Zainoren Abg Abdulrahman, Senior Lecturer of Business Administration Faculty,
UiTM and Encik Awang Mentali Awang Sulaiman, Manager of Industrial Planning,
Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC). This forum will hope
to create awareness, understanding and networking among participants on
entrepreneurship and marketing of their products. Interested individuals can contact Norassima Sitam or Drang Jite

On 7 August 2009 will be a
community talk on the Management of Credit Cards by Mr Yeo Wee Kiak, a credit
counselor from Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK). The talk will be from 2.30-4.30pm at the Auditorium. Those interested can contact Muhd Ali at

A talk on The Art of
Theatre will be held on 15 August 2009 at 3.00pm. This activity targets youth and further information can be
obtained from Mohd Nizam (082-442000).





Special Needs activities
for the month will be held on 4th and 11th August at
3.00pm. Contact person is Kian Tungku
(082-442000). Activity themes for the month focus on Malaysia’s independence
day.





For children, weekly
activities are run on Saturdays and Sundays at 3.00pm. In addition, August will showcase two (2)
competitions for the little ones – (1) Coloring Competition 2009 for
Kindergarten and Reading Competition 2009 for Kindergarten. These two (2) activities will be held on

On
August 20, the public is invited to join us to enjoy culture through a talk on
Iban Pua Kumbu. This talk is by Janet
Rata Noel from the Tun Jugah Foundation in Kuching will be held at the
Sarawakiana Room from 2.30-4.30pm.

On
the same day a talk entitled ‘What are my options after leaving school – is UK
education an option?’ will be held from 2.30-4.30pm at the Seminar Room. This session is open to students from
secondary schools (Form 5&6), colleges and universities. Further information can be acquired from
Norassima Sitam or Drang Jite.





Admission
is free for all activities. Those
interested are advised to register early to avoid disappointment due to limited
seats.
