On January 22, 2011, the
Lincoln Corner librarian read “Martin’s Big Words: The Life of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr” to a crowd of 35 young children.
The story telling was
conducted in conjunction with Martin Luther King’s day, which fell
on the 17th January 2011.
The young audience was enchanted by Doreen
Rappaport’s story and illustrator Bryan Collier’s colorful
pictures and words . Young children learned a valuable lesson
about civil rights from this interesting, favorite children’s book.
