Stories Under The Tree with Teacher Carmen & Aunty Ellise Received Encouraging Response

24th June 2026, KUCHING – The Stories Under The Tree featuring Teacher Carmen and Aunty Ellise was successfully held at the Large Swing Tree, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, and received an encouraging response from families and children who participated in the session, last Saturday.

The outdoor storytelling programme created a warm and engaging reading environment where children enjoyed interactive storytelling sessions in a relaxed natural setting. Each participating child also received a complimentary storybook, supporting efforts to nurture a love for reading from an early age.

In addition to storytelling, participants also enjoyed a variety of engaging activities such as interactive reading sessions, simple craft activities, and fun learning moments designed to encourage creativity, imagination, and parent-child bonding in a relaxed community setting.

Pustaka Negeri Sarawak continues to strengthen its commitment to promoting reading culture through innovative and family-friendly programmes that bring learning beyond traditional spaces.
