InterPARES 3 Project, International Joint Summit & Symposium

On
16 – 18 June 2011, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak in collaboration with the
Sarawak Government and Universiti Teknologi MARA, conducted
InterPARES International Joint 5^th
Summit & Symposium at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak.

The
theme for InterPARES 3 Project, International Joint Summit &
Symposium is “Preserving
Authentic Records in the Digital Environment: Preliminary Findings of
the InterPARES 3 Project”.

InterPARES 3 Summit & Symposium
was launched by a representative of Sarawak`s Chief Minister, Yang
Berbahagia Datin Hajah Fatimah Abdullah, Minister in Chief Minister
Department in 17 Jun 2011. There was also a welcoming dinner with
Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun
Datuk Abang Haji Openg, InterPARES members and participants of the
summit and symposium at the Hilton Hotel, Kuching.

About
130 participants attended the InterPARES Symposium on 17 & 18 Jun
2011. Participants included representatives from Sarawak government
departments and institutions outside Sarawak such as Indonesia,
Brunei, Sabah and Penisular Malaysia. Topics that were presented
included `Electronic
Records` and
`Archive
Management`.
