Summary
In my opinion, Working in Teams is written in an engaging style, with illustrations and examples that are of interests to readers like me. It has a well-balanced approach between theory and practice. It is grounded in solid research, with a strong theoretical foundation, yet at the same time is practical and applicable in nature. This book explores the major concepts related to team success and prepare readers to work in and lead collaborative, interdependent environments. This book teaches readers to accomplish specific goals in teams, foster the development of individual members, and transform “high potential” groups to “high performance” teams. To me, interesting case studies at the beginning of each chapter draw readers in, provide accessible context for the material, and create a desire to know more. The content is intentionally written in a very readable style and draws upon illustrations and examples that are of interests and applicable to any ordinary readers like me.
