Summary
This book is written by Ian Burkitt, a Professor of Social Identity at the University of Bradford where he teaches Sociology and Social Psychology. To me, the writing is quite challenging for any readers in the first few chapters should they do not have any background information in the areas of social theory, theories of identity and embodiment. To me, this 196-pages with 7 chapters altogether, ranging from an introduction chapter on feeling and emotion as patterns of relationship to the last chapter on emotions and power relations, has no doubt as one of the essential readings for readers who interested and possess basic knowledge about the study of emotions.
