Summary: A spin-off from the Vampire Academy novels, the story focuses on the life of Sydney Sage, the alchemist who helped Rose Hathaway evade unfair court trials. Sydney is required to help protect the monarch`s one and only surviving sibling from the dangers of Strigoi, a group excluded and murderous Vampires. The Moroi Court (Vampire Ruling court) believes Jill and Sydney will be safe at a human school but threats, distractions and forbidden romance lurk both inside and outside the school grounds prompting readers to be sucked in the drama within the novel.
