Summary: To me, this a recommendable reading for those readers who interested to know what service science and a new theory of service scaling and transformation especially digital connections scaling (DCS). The book has revealed the secret why despite the fact that service science is an emerging field, but many still consider it lacking in substance. The book is about changing such opinion by addressing the essentials of service science. This book has 302 pages and divided into 9 chapters with the first chapter focuses on service, digital economy and the transformation of digitally connected world. The book presents and substantiates DCS model, complete with a population-oriented design paradigm and a new class of microeconomic production functions to explain the paths of transformation into the future. It is a recommendable book to me, as it gives clear and a necessary overview of how service science emerges and useful. To me, it is an exciting read as it provides an insight into the analyses of new business designs emerging on the Web since the advent of e-commerce. To me, this book calls for better understanding of service science and how useful it in pathing transformation into the future.
