Summary
This story highlights the enthusiasm of a girl named Anna Liza, the daughter of a psychiatrist who helps patients find happiness. While waiting for her mother to treat Edward’s father, Anna Liza befriends Edward in the clinic’s waiting room. Edward appears deeply saddened by his father’s grief following his mother’s absence, and he confides that their lives feel as though they are going nowhere. Determined to help, Anna Liza secretly creates her own “roller-skate treatment” plan without her mother’s knowledge. Edward agrees to the idea. Through roller skating up and down the hills and meeting new people, Edward’s father begins to enjoy fresh experiences that gradually change his perspective. As he rediscovers joy, he finds himself thinking constantly about Edward. In the end, the plan works. Edward’s father regains his happiness and takes Edward to the beach, just as they used to. In my opinion, this book delivers a heartwarming and meaningful message about empathy, initiative, and emotional healing.
