Summary: nternational business and global climate change are closely connected, as business activities across countries both contribute to environmental problems and play a key role in addressing them. As companies expand globally, their operations—such as manufacturing, transportation, and resource use—can increase greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact. At the same time, global climate change is influencing how businesses operate. Companies must now adapt to stricter environmental regulations, shifting consumer expectations, and climate-related risks like extreme weather and supply chain disruptions. As a result, many international businesses are moving toward sustainable practices, including reducing emissions, using renewable energy, and adopting eco-friendly production methods. Overall, the relationship is two-way: international business affects the climate, and climate change is reshaping how global businesses function and plan for the future.
