LITERACY ONLINE INFORMATION SOURCE SERVICE WITH TROPICAL PEAT RESEARCH INSTITUTE

KUCHING: Tuesday, 11 April 2023 - Sarawak State Library's Online Information Resource Service Literacy session for Researchers from the Sarawak Tropical Peat Research Institute was held successfully.

The purpose of this literacy session is to improve digital and information literacy skills by accessing library services such as OPAC and Database to find research materials and information. A 'hands-on' session was also held in this program to train participants on how to access digital reading materials, journal articles, e-books, newspapers and documents related to peatland studies through the CABi database, Press Reader, Kfocus and Summon.

The facilitator for this program was delivered by Mrs. Nurfatini Apandi, Librarian and assisted by Assistant Librarian, Mrs. Dayang Shaniza Awang Tada and Mr. John Nyo-Em.
