Background: The year 2021 saw several events and issues sustainable development has taken place at either level globally as well as at the national level. Among the issues that are still of concern is the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Starting January 1st 2016, the countries of the world adapt the Goal Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)- outlining 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by 2030. Known as the action agenda for humans, the planet and prosperity, the SDGs are a continuation of Millennium Development Goals (Millennium Development Goals- MDGs) and cover all issues sustainable development. At the national level, haze phenomenon, pollution effects of bauxite mining activities and warming extremes stemming from the El Nino phenomenon has been a hot topic in many quarters. This incident has had an impact on the community public in terms of health disorders, closure schools, offices and economic activities.

Meanwhile, it also has economic cost implications to countries where the government needs to issue money to treat and repair the damage stems from the incident in question. In the exhibition this time, there is three major topics through great writers related to the SUSTAINABLE discuss three important issues namely (i) Act; (ii) Climate; and (iii) related books on natural phenomena such as Hydrogen (uses and production).

Objective: As a main body to provides information resources and knowledge centers, the main objective of this exhibition is to help the government as an intermediary to channel information to achieve the 17 main goals of the SDGs.

Why do Pustaka Exhibit books on SDG??
Purpose: To disseminate information and sharing of resources related to SDGs which is available at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak. Apart from that, this exhibition also aims to attract the interest of the public to better understand what the SDGs are and what are the reference reading materials used to collect information related to the SDGs.
